Preparation Time - 15 minutes
Cooking time - 10 minutes
Ingredients
Roasted ravai - 1 1/4 cups
Water - 2 1/2 cups
Onions - 1/2 no. (medium size)
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Green chillies - 7 or 8
Mustard seeds - 3/4 tsp
Bengal gram - 1/4 tsp
Urad dal - 3/4 tsp
Hind powder - 1/4 tsp
Canola oil - 3 1/2 tbsp
Salt - as required
Method
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds. Once it splutters, add curry leaves, green chillies, hing powder, bengal gram and fry for few seconds.
- Add urad dal and onions. Fry until the onions are transparent.
- Add water and close it with a lid in high flame. Allow it to boil.
- Add ravai slowly in a low flame. While adding stir it continuously to avoid lumps.
- It will cook within 2 or 3 minutes. Switch of the stove and close it with lid. Allow it for 5 more minutes to serve.
- Serve it with coconut chutney or sugar.
