CHILLI BAJJI

Bajji is the most common and important snack in south India. If any important person comes to our home or any function in the home at Tamilnadu, it won't get complete without bajji.




Ingredients

Chilli - 6 to 8
Besan flour - 3/4 cup
Rice flour - 1/4 cup
corn flour - 2 tbs
red chilli powder - 3/4 tbs
Hing powder - 1/4 tsp
salt - as required
Water - as required.
Oil - for deep fry.




Method:

  1. Mix all the ingredients except oil and chillies. Consistency must be like dosa batter. Neither too thick nor too thin. It should be in the correct stage.
  2. Slice bajji chillies into half in the length wise. If you don't want too spicy, remove seeds from the chillies or else keep it as it is.
  3. Dip all the slices in the batter in the medium heated oil and fry it until it gets golden brown and cooked inside.
  4. Like this do all the slices and serve it with coconut chutney or with ketch up or as it is.
