SAGO VEGETABLE DOSA IN THE MILK

Serving size - 10 to 12 dosa

 

Preparation time - 10 minutes

 

Cooking time - 10 minutes

 

 


Ingredients


For Sago vegetable dosa


Carrot - 1
Potato - 1
Beans - 5 or 6
Onions - 3 tbsp
Sago - 1/2 cup
Rice flour - 1 1/2 tbsp
Garam masala - 3/4 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
Water - 1 1 /2 to 2 cups
Sugar - a pinch
Salt - as required

For Milk


Milk - 2 1/2 cups
Sugar -  2 tbsp (if needed , add more)
Cardamom powder - a pinch


Method

For Milk

  1. Boil milk in a pan or microwave. 
  2. Add cardamom powder and sugar. Mix well and filter the cardamom powder.
  3. Milk is ready. If you want, you can use milk on the dosa.

For Sago vegetable dosa

 







 

 

 

  1. Soak sago overnight or atleast 6 to 7 hours.
  2. Pressure cook carrot, potato and beans with little and water salt until it comes to mashy consistency.
  3. Remove it from the pressure cooker and allow it to cool.
  4. Grind sago in the mixie into a fine paste and keep it aside.
  5. Grind all the cooked vegetables into smooth paste and mix it with sago paste.
  6. Add red chilli powder, garam masala powder, salt, sugar, onions and water to the sago veggie mixture. Mix the batter well. It should be in the semi liquid consistency. Note : (It should not be either too watery or solid) I'm sorry that I forgot to take batter consistency picture.
  7. Sago veggie batter is ready to make dosa. Make dosa and keep it in the bowl.
  8. Pour milk on the dosa and serve it to kids. 
Note :

Milk is optional. You can serve it with ghee or ketchup or whatever you are kids like.
